Welcome to Jens Gühring's Homepage.
I'm working in the Optical
Inspection Group at the Institute
for Photogrammetry, University of
Stuttgart.
My research is in the area of computer vision, the challenge of making
computers capable to acquire information and perform measurements on the basis
of images.
My particular interests are in using vision to automatically build high-accuracy
3D models for industrial part inspection. I have worked on both traditional
camera based and structured light sensors. I am also interested in sensor
calibration and multi-sensor data fusion. I have additional research interests
in geometric modeling, multiresolution representations, and optimization
algorithms.

 I have left the Institute
for Photogrammetry and started a new position with Siemens Corporate
